We play straight ahead Groove Jazz of the highest quality, ideal for listening and dancing. All members are highly respected and highly sought after in the Sydney Jazz scene, but the essence of the MonSTARS is that the band is greater than the sum of its parts.

Brad and I clicked from when we first met at the Conservatorium. We're best mates and I love his playing. We've played together so much, it's almost like e.s.p. in anticipating what each other is about to play.

Peter is The Guy for mainstream/standards playing. Stan and Lloyd just lock in together to make the filthiest groove with Pete being the icing on the cake.

Actually, because the groove of a rhythm section is the essence of any band, they really don't need me or Brad, but for our assistance in wiping their noses and directing them to the correct toilet!
